The first Rage was full of contradictions. On the one hand, we have good shooter mechanics, very good enemy AI and a variety of enemies, plus pretty good rides on wrecked cars from Mad Max. On the other hand, there is poor level design, a faded and nondescript color scheme, and no plot. Well, he won’t forget about the bugs, thousands of them. Still, I liked the game at the time.
I understand the skepticism and mistrust about the second part, but judging by what was shown in Rage 2, the guys are trying in every possible way to fix what worked poorly and make even better what worked well. So for me Rage 2 is on the list of must-buy games.
